Connecticut Girls XC Class LL - L - MM Previews

Class L's Top Runners

2019 Class L winner Kate Wiser of Pomperaug put on another show last season as a senior capturing the Northeast XC Championship win against a top field from the region. This year top L runners should again be very good.

Olivia Birney (Simsbury). The Trojan senior took the 800m-1600m double last June in both Class L and the Open, and in the fall she led Simsbury to the CCC - A division title.

Claire Daniels and Madelaine Sweeney (New Milford). The Green Wave senior duo had strong marks both in XC and track last year and now lead a team that should be vying for the Class L title.

Emily Mrakovcic (Wilton). The Warrior senior was one of three runners to break 15:00 while winning the FCIAC Central division race last year and then was 2nd in the Class L 800m last June before placing 3rd in the Open.

Mairead Clas and Julianne Teitler (Darien). The senior duo were 2nd and 4th to lead the Blue Wave to 3rd in a very tough FCIAC West division last year.

Skylar Bennett and Riley Shipman (New Canaan). On a very strong and very packed Rams team, Bennett and Shipman will likely be leading the way.
