New York Boys CHSAA, PSAL, and NYSAIS Previews

CHSAA's Top Runners

Seven guys posted speed ratings of 163 or higher last year. Six are seniors.

Myles Hogan (Fordham Prep). The Ram leader ran away with the CHSAA laurels last fall and will be leading his team in another head-to-head battle with Xavier as the two teams seek to replace Chaminade as conference champ. Hogan could become the first FP guy to capture the CHSAA title twice.

Michael Hawkes and Quincy Flett (Xavier). The Knights' senior duo placed 5th and 7th in the CHSAA meet last year and  are looking to lead the X-men back to the top after winning the championship in 2016, 2017, and 2019 following an 85-year drought.

Gabriel Maurad. (Iona Prep). The Gael senior finished in the top 10 of last year's NY-BQ CHSAA sectional championship race but was not at the CHSAA championship two weeks later when his then freshman teammate Tommy Flynn finished 2nd in the Championship B race.

Lucas Moran and Liam Dennehy (Fordham Prep). The other part of the Rams' top trio this year with Hogan, the two seniors finished 12th and 14th last year as part of FP's very strong top four.

Dylan Doskocil (St. Joseph by the Sea). The Viking junior was the top NY-BQ CHSAA guy in the CHSAA Frosh-Soph championship, so big things are expected from him this year.
