NYSAIS's Top Runners

As with the PSAL, there are three sophomore runners from the 2019 NY NYSAIS championship top 20, and another younger guy has worked his way into the lists.

Nikhil DeNatale (Trinity). The Tigers senior was 4th in the last NYSAIS championship, and he looks set to take this year's crown after a huge 20th in the Northeast XC championship race last fall.

Brendan DiStefano (Hackley). The Hornet senior had a more limited XC season in 2020 but a big track season, and he should be ready to lock horns with Trinity's DenNatale for the NYSAIS crown.

Cole Nesselson (Trinity). The Lion senior placed 14th two years ago at the the NYSAIS championship and then turned to weight events instead of running last spring. Still, you better be running far ahead of a guy in VCP's back hills  who can toss the javelin 166 feet if you want to beat Trinity this year.

Ronan Luff (Trinity). The Lion junior did nicely in the 12th Rock meets last fall and then ripped it up in spring track to set himself as maybe the top guy for the 2022 championship.
