New York Girls XC Class D Preview

New York's Top Class D Teams

Choosing more than a couple top teams is tough until the season opens up and we can see how teams have come together maybe by the time of the Pre-States meet at Chenango Valley on September 18. There are some huge assumptions here that teams will have a group of recently inactive runners that will be returning to close to their 2019 levels or that some track newcomers will join XC.

Also note that we are assuming that Norwood-Norfolk will be competing in Class C as it did in 2019, but if like in 2018 the Flyers are in Class D, their ranking level will be on par with South Lewis at the top to begin the season.

Section-by-Section Overview

Composing a list of contenders in each section is very chancy because some teams had almost no meets, so there are a lot of teams that will need to fill out. Only five of the eleven sections have teams that we are confident will exceed a minimal speed rating level.
