Unorthodox Racing Becomes The Norm In Fall 2020 - Wknd Recap

As the Fall Season proceeds, more and more unusual racing has taken place. We've seen more Track 5K's than ever before, and new formatted Dual Meets, which equate to essentially Time Trials, are taking more priority. We recap the latest from this weekend.

Baloga Back On The Rails

Karrie Baloga (Cornwall) headed down to PA for an Out-and-Back 5K race on the rail-trails of Hazelton. She comes away with a 17:29 winning performance, the best of any age group, male or female, for the day.

The 5K Returns To The Track

In New Jersey, the Track 5K again saw a return to prominence. For the Boys, the top finisher was Anthony Diaz (Farmingdale) running unattached. His mark of 15:17 falls just five seconds outside the Top 50 All-Time for New York Boys. The Girls Top Finisher was Kathryn Altieri (Susan Wagner), with a 17:20.8. Her mark does crack the All-Time list, making her NY #24 All-Time for the Event. The marks go towards the 2021 Spring Track Season, which typically only sees throwing results in the Fall.
