Things may have become a little easier here for Paul Robeson's Alyssa Sandy after her chief competitor Aviana Goode of Bay Shore false-started in prelims, but she kept control in this event anyway topping all three rounds and edging out Medgar Evers' Shayla Broughton and Clara Barton's Paula Salmon in the finals as she remained the only sub-8.00 hurdler on the year in NY with a 7.99 time.
