Pasqualetti's Search for 15-0 Vault To Be Streamed Live Sat.

WATCH LIVE ON NJ MILESPLIT

One week after clearing a National Record clearance at 14-8.25 on her first attempt, Leah Pasqualetti (Orchard Park) is looking to raise the bar once again. This Saturday, Pasqualetti will be heading to Vault Factory in Basking Ridge, NJ, for their Fourth Of July Bash. Live Streamed exclusively on MileSplit, Pasqualetti will meet up against post-Collegiate Alina McDonald, who carries a personal best of 14-9. The pair will each be looking for that next step up.

"We'd consider the 15-foot bar to be the equivalent to that 4-minute mile for HS Boys. Anytime you vault, you always want to push the bar higher, and that's Leah's next logical step," Pasqualetti's Coach Mike Auble told MileSplit.

The Live Stream will focus on the Top Seeded Pit, while archive footage will be recorded on the lower pit.

The meet will be conducted in accordance with recommended Coronavirus Prevention guidelines. Masks will be required of all spectators, while attendance will be limited to only competitors, coaches and same-dwelling-residing family members.

Joining the pair will be Kenna Stimmel (Margaretta), an Ohio Freshman who has already cleared 13-5, as well as Delaware's Erin Kelleher (Padua Academy), who carries a best of 13-2. New Jersey will be represented by Top Returners Gretel Jelmert (Watchung Hills) and Jenna Engels (Piscataway).

The boys competition will see Gretel's brother try for the NJ State Record as well.  Bradley Jelmert hit 16-10 this Indoor Season, and was in contention for an Indoor National Title before the cancelation. He'll be joined by fellow Jersians Marco and Nico Morales (Delsea Regional), Brian McSweeney (East Brunswick), and James Zeolla (West Morris Central), all of which are over 15-0. The New Jersey Outdoor State Record is currently 17-4.5.

Leah has a few more meets on the schedule to give her more attempts at raising her Personal Best. After this weekend, she'll be heading to DC to compete once again.
