Summary:   The S1-A has suddenly gotten deep and very competitive, with six ranked teams among the group vying for this year's title. Arlington has won five Sectionals in a row, but this year the Admirals appear to be out on the fringes. Rockland County winner North Rockland is the favorite if it is fielding a full healthy squad, but the Red Raiders could be a little vulnerable at the back against pack teams. Both Northern County winner John Jay-East Fishkill and Westchester County winner Scarsdale have far more compressed pack teams that could make things tough for North Rockland, especially if they get help from other teams placing runners at around the 150 TR mark where NRock's 5th guy is expected to be. Dan Shephard was 2nd to Collin Waters last year and is the favorite here with Dan Caso not too far behind.

Summary: Pearl River won by a giant 88 last year and will be shooting for its third straight title with a squad that has both the speed ratings and good compression to get the victory. John Jay-Cross River has surged lately and Brewster has been solid all season, but neither of the teams have good depth and will need a lot of things to go right for them pull an upset. Patrick Ford finished 7th as a freshman last year, and he is expected to be battling with last year's 10th place finisher Oisin Selby for the individual title.

Summary:  Irvington won last year's S1-C contest comfortably, but this year is shaping up to be a closer battle. Briarcliff got a big boost at Westchester County and now looks like it may have the strongest and deepest six-man lineup. Irvington ran behind Briarcliff at Westchester and has a stronger middle of the lineup, but the two teams are close. Pleasantville lost a key runner and is trying to fight its way back at the 5th spot. The dynamics of the S1-C contest will be a lot different than at Westchester that had a lot of big teams mixed in. Mark Rogers, Noah Brightman and Aidan Lynch all finished high up behind an elite group of seniors last year, and they are expected to be vying for this year's crown.
