Summary: Any of the top 3 teams here could win S7-D. Seton Catholic will be trying to notch a very short bus ride to States, Moriah-Bouquet has the enthusiasm of the newcomer in the bunch as it tries for its first ever Sectional win, and Lake Placid has the recent tradition and one state championship four years ago. Seton Catholic is peaking at the right time and Lake Placid will likely be running harder than it did at CVAC. Virtual score projections are:
*** Seton Catholic 35, Lake Placid 42, Moriah Bouqute 45
All that could change mightily with the shift of a few places, but Seton Catholic is fortunate that though its 8th grade #5 runner is a ways back, he seems to be running pretty much by himself and doesn't need to worry about runners packing in ahead of him. Lake Placid won last year, while Seton Catholic's Jake Glicksman was the individual champ for his incomplete Knights squad. Glicksman is favored again, but last year's 4th place finisher Logan Van Buren of Moriah\Bouquet should be up there with him.
