Summary:  Last year Rush-Henrietta won by 10 over Brighton but then graduated half of its winning squad. Brighton won by a large margin at Monore County, but last year it edged out Rush-Henrietta there before finishing 2nd in S5-A. Top to bottom though, Brighton just seems to have the best squad this year, and as long as the 3-4-5 positions finish before the big mass of S5-A finishers, Brighton should win. Fairport was missing a key runner at Monroe, and a complete squad for them could change the dynamics a bit. Candace Tytler chased Katie Cobos for the title last year before finishing 2nd, and she and Irondequoit teammate Annalee Capuano will be favorites for the individual title.

Summary:  Last year Pittsford Mendon won the S5-B by 15 but then graduated most of its squad. This year Sutherland has been on the lead most of the year and had the best finish of the three teams at Monroe with a 4th among the mass of Class A teams. The results from Monroe though can always be taken with many grains of salt, and HFL ran a very subdued race there in preparation for the S5-B showdown. This one could still be close. Adriana Behrendt of Wayne is the top rated runner and was 6th last year, while Olivia Lucia and Ellie Fantauzzo placed 3rd and 5th behind 2018 champ Rebekah Preisser.

Summary:  Waterloo won the showdown in S5-C by a point over HAC but lost its top two to graduation. This year the HAC Wolves appear ready to take the title after a win at Wayne-Finger Lakes, but Addison had a strong performance back at Alden Bulldog and should be challenging strongly here. Penn Yan's Joddie Decker won last year's race and will again be the favorite with Faith Skowvron and Roxana Reisch close behind.

Summary:   Red Creek won last year's race easily and has much of champion squad back this year along with newcomer Alison Sawyer on the lead. The Rams ran well while taking a 4th at Wayne-Finger Lakes and look ready to roll to another title. Alexa Wolcott of Pavilion/York was 1st among 107 runners in last year's race and is again the big favorite.
