New York Boys State Rankings - Week 3

Following Week of Saturday, September 28

The rankings expand to 40 teams for Class A and 15 for Class D after a busy week centered around the McQuaid Invitational at Genesee Valley Park in Rochester. Guilderland proved to be the best of Class A there in the McQuaid AAA race, while Burnt Hills was the overall top team while winning the AA race ahead of East Aurora and Pittsford Mendon. Saranac Lake held off Beaver River in the A race in the battle of the small school C and D powers. Key results were also turned in from the EJ Herrmann, Bowdoin, Six Flags, and John Killian meets. The weekend was steamy in many parts of the state and were especially tough at Bowdoin where even the top placing teams saw their speed ratings take a plunge.

The weekend's big action starts with the Saint Anthony's and Scarsdale meets on Friday, moves to the Great American meet in NC, Grout, Brewster, Tully, and inaugural Frontier Mustang meets on Saturday, and ends with the NYC Mayor's Cup on Sunday. Manhattan madness really heats up during the middle of next week.
