Breakdown: This one is predicted to be the closest of the boys races, individually.  Josh Peron is undefeated this season, over his past three races.  However, this is the first race with out-of-section competition, and the State is ready to race.  Sean O'Brien is also undefeated, and will be looking to keep his streak alive as well.  Behind the top pair, the margins are so thin, any one of ten athletes could take the title on a good day. It's hard to predict who's been all-out this season, and who is just waiting the right opportunity.  We'll see come Saturday.

As we explained in the Class AA write-up, the team competition here at McQuaid, especially the merge, has big stakes.  Every team in the State Top Ten is in the Meet, minus NY #1 FM and #5 Warwick.  There is a good chance the merge winner here has a real shot at finishing in the Top Two at NXN-NY late November.  In this matchup, NY #4 and NY #6 Shenendehowa and Guilderland will take center stage, with the winner taking the favorite status for Section 2 Class A come Sectionals.
