What To Watch For This Weekend - 9/14

Unique "medals" to be awarded at the Knox-C Invite

It's the second big week of competition, and anyone who didn't debut before, is coming out the race now.  We've broken down the biggest meets in the State, and what we're most excited to watch for.  We're sure there are surprised to be had, so we can't wait for the races to be run.

Warwick Valley Invite

It seems like former State Meet Courses are brining in the talent this weekend, as the Xavier boys will be trying to hold off the home team in this top ranked battle.  Don't forget to say hello to the pair of horses set to lead the races.

Queensbury Invite

We'll get our first look at the Shenendehowa boys team here, as well as the Greenwich girls.  Both are ranked high in their Classification for their respective genders, and this flat-fast course could put up some big times.  With 2100 entries, it's the biggest meet of the weekend.

Regis Invite / Lady Vikings Invite

The Brother and Sister meet features a decent mix of CHSAA and NYSPHSAA Squads going at it in Van Cortlandt Park.  Fordham Prep's Eamonn Sullivan looks to lead the boys, while Sierra Dinneen of NDA looks to lead the girls meet.

ESM Invite

In a rare double-header, Manlius is racing once again, while Brooke Rauber and the girls from South Lewis look to mix it up in their Top 5.

Knox-C Invite

With over 1700 entries, a majority of Section 6 will be testing out the course that will hold Sectionals this year, including Boys Top Ranked Joshua Peron (Frontier) and Girls Top Ranked Megan McLaughlin (East Aurora).

New Hartford Invite

Delaney Brewer (VVS) managed to place Top 5 in a race than included both Manlius and Shenendehowa girls last week, and comes into this meet as a favorite.

Fonda-Fultonville Invite

In years past, we've seen Burnt Hills open up here, and with much of their NXN-Qualifying squad graduating last year, it'll be interesting to see how the boys reload

Jim Smith Invite

No entries posted, but is the first chance for Long Island teams to take a crack at Sunken Meadow.

Wayne Invite

No entries posted, but last year, McQuaid and Rush-Henrietta made the trip for some Class A clashing.

Owego Invite

No entries posted, but typically a smaller Invitational for Section 4.
