After a rough day at Penn, senior Anthony Harrison (Ramapo) returned home to do what he does best: throw far. He went to the Gold Rush Invite only 24hours after his 5th place finish at Penn (2nd American, at 183-2), and unleashed a monster throw. He opened his series with a 157-6, improved to 180-8 for the win, then on his final throw, put out a throw of 198-5.
This mark is an improvement over his recent best of 190-5, thrown at the Pirate Relays on April 6th. The new mark jumps him up from NY #9 All-Time, all the way up to NY #2. He is now the longest thrower in State History to never have broken 200-ft. Of course, the weather has been typically gloomy, and warmer days are on the horizon. Still plenty of time to chase down that mark.
