Ranking The Top Ten Records From The New York State Meet

#5 - NY All-Time 4x200m Mark - Meet Record

Watch Race

The run itself was impressive, but the conditions leading into the race make it special.  Christopher Columbus shattered the meet record in the trials, running 1:28.05, a full second under the previous mark of 1:29.04.  However, disaster struck just one event before the final.  A major leg, Rashaun Stewart, pulled up with a hamstring cramp in the 300m, after finishing the race.  It looked like the title hopes were over.  But after some quick work by the coach, Stewart was back on the line, ready to race. Even with the hitch, Columbus ran to a new State Leader in 1:27.89, good for NY #4 All-Time.
