State of the Action: For the first time this season, Manlius looked like the team that placed them second at Nike Nationals the year before. We've seen variability from the brief glances at them throughout the season, but at both Leagues and Sectionals, their compression was there at 32secs and 49secs, respectively. With firm ground under their feet, and a little bit of redemption on their minds after last year, the Hornets strung together one of the best State Meet showings in State History. 17-second compression, with five guys within the Top 10, individual scores or otherwise. Their time smashes the former Course Record 5-Man Average set by CBA Lincroft in 1987 by six seconds. They also produced the lowest merge score ever for a Boys Team.
