Summary:  Last year Susan Wagner won by 10 points over Brooklyn Tech, and this year though both teams have the same speed ratings, the Falcons have a much tighter compression and more depth, and that should carry them to the win. Susan Wagner's Daniel Wronski, Yazan Saif, Sean Acosta, and Muhammad Qadri took the first four places and finished within 25 seconds of each at the Staten Island Borough Championships, and that type of effort will likely insure the win on Saturday. Brooklyn Tech has Evan Sherman and Parker Straight at the top, but they will need to pull the 3-5 guys up high in the 145-152 TR area where the big bulge of the PSAL finishers tend to be.

Teams that will probably be battling for top 5 spots also include Bronx Science, Riverdale-Kingsbridge, and McKee Tech. Though the three teams have fairly similar speed ratings, Bronx Science and McKee Tech have good compression, while there is a big gap from RKA's Jacob Ireland to the 5th spot on the team. Forest Hills also has a shot at a top 5 place after winning the Queens Borough championship.

Brooklyn Tech's Evan Sherman won last year's race by 2 seconds over Midwood's Ermiyas Harper. Both runners return to vie at the top with RKA's Jacob Ireland. Last year's Individual race champ Jack Craven is also in the Championship race. Muhamed Bayo of Mott Haven may be the top runner in the Individual race.
