It's been 6 years since a New York boy has broken the magic 200 barrier for a speed rating. Nick Ryan of FM did it more than once, his best effort coming when he set the Bowdoin Park course record that stood until last year.
Since then, it was Mickey Burke (Rush-Henerietta) who hit 199 in 2013, then Bryce Millar (FM) earned a 199 himself when placing runner up at Manhattan Easterns in 2014. With a strong contingent of boys toeing the line this season, can anyone break in?
