Section by Section Class A Overview

SectionTop Teams Notes
John Jay-Cross River, Pearl River, Tappan Zee, Brewster, SomersJJ-CR is the reigning state champion with everyone back and has a large gap on the rest of the teams in NY Class B. Pearl River is rated #2 in the state however, and Tappan Zee and Brewster are in the top 15, so S1-B will be competitive.
Burnt Hills, Mohonasen, Queensbury, Scotia-Glenville, Academy of the Holy NamesBurnt Hills and Mohonasen start the season virtually even in the ratings, so the S2-B battle could be as close as the Spartans' 6-point margin last year.
CBA-Syracuse, Jamesville-Dewitt, Camden, New Hartford, ChittenangoLast year CBA won the States Class C title while JD won a squeaker in S3-B over Westhill, which has moved to Class C. This year CBA appears to have a big edge over the Red Rams and Camden.
Maine-Endwell, Vestal, Owego, Johnson CityMaine-Endwell will again be the champ here.
Pittsford Mendon, Mercy, Pittsford Sutherland, Honeoye Falls-LimaPittsford Mendon dominated S5-B last year and has just about everyone back.
East Aurora, Lake Shore, Sweet Home,  City HonorsEA as usual will be the dominating force in S6-B.
No repesentatives
South Side, North Shore, Manhasset, Floral ParkSouth Side won easily last year but with a very slim squad, so after some graduations can the Cyclones keep North Shore and Manhasset at bay?
Cornwall, Goshen, Red Hook, New PaltzCornwall lost two members from last year's varsity but should maintain a fairly large gap over Goshen.
Franklin AcademyFranklin (Malone) is the winner.
Mt. Sinai, Shoreham-Wading River, Bayport-Blue Point, Sayville, HarborfieldsMt. Sinai lost two members of the varsity off a thin squad, so it will need to fill out the ranks to secure a second straight S11-B title.
