This is a rematch nearly two years in the making. Back in 2017, Lily Flynn beat Hannah Reale by 0.09 in the Indoor 1000m, taking second behind Kaitlin Ryan. That Spring, Reale went on to beat Ryan in the open 800m, with Flynn back three seconds. It all set up for a great 1000m race this Winter. But Reale was injured, and missed much of the Winter Season. Flynn went on to lead the greatest 1000m race in history, winning in a National Top 10 All-Time performance. Finally, both girls are back and healthy, and the seeds should demonstrate that. It will be a real fight to the finish here, and while Reale is the reigning 800m champ, this is really anyone's race, with Flynn ready to repeat her 1000m performance Outdoors. | |||||
