Newburgh has long been the perennial Section 9 power in this event, but Washingtonville handed them a loss at the Indoor State Qualifier, before Newburgh came back to win States and Nationals. Is history repeating itself here, as Washingtonville once again beat Newburgh at the Qualifier Outdoors, but this time it was in a new State Leading time. There are three other teams under that 3:20 mark, but it could be a Hudson Valley battle at the top.
