#5 - Girls 400m
When: Saturday, May 12th @ 2:15pm
Why: The 600m final was a nail-biter at Indoor States, and the 400m here brings back those top two. Paris Peoples (Cardozo) will take on Vanessa Watson (Spencerport) in a battle of the long sprint. Peoples has shown she is ready for a big race after a huge 800m split at Penn Relays, and could approach her best of 53.68. Watson is fresh off her third 800m ever (which made her twitter famous over the weekend), and is as fit as ever, looking to improve on her own best of 54.58.
The pair is joined by Ellen Byrnes (Sacred Heart) and Tatianna Martinez (Cardozo), but those top pair have about a two-second lead on the field.
