While there still may be plenty of snow on the ground, our minds are already on the potential for late spring.  The 4x400m is the quintessential track event, closing out each meet with a mix of speed and strength.  We're looking at what makes a great relay, and our eyes are on the stats.

We've broken down three criteria that would indicate a strong relay this Spring.  The first is the Indoor Rankings.  Many athletes will compete in both seasons, so expect those rankings to be a good starting ground.  Next, we scored the 300m State Rankings by team, seeing who has the depth to maybe throw in a few fresh legs.  And finally, we look at the Top Returning Team Depth, for those athletes who ran the Open 400m last spring, to see if there are any killer legs who may have been playing basketball this Winter.
