Why: It's an even-up duel at the front between the CHSAA's top female distance runners. Sierra Dinneen (Notre Dame Academy) is coming in with a personal best of 10:27.64, but has been tearing it up on the shorter distances this year, including the 1600m anchor leg on a DMR. On the other end, Maggie Maier (Sacred Heart Academy) has a true 10:1872 to her credit, and will look to maintain her lead. There is plenty of history here together, with Maier getting the win in the XC Intersectionals, as in this race the year before, but Dinneen notched a win in the mile at the New Balance Games just a few weeks back. This one should be good.
