Why: The seeded heat consists of six athletes at 1:25 or better. Among them, Matt Payamps (Saint Anthony's) has the most distance cred this season, after anchoring his DMR to the win at Yale. But this is more a sprint, and his best of 1:22.90 will be challenged by Michael Crorkin (Xavier), with his best of 1:23.19. Erik Brown (Kellenberg) is also under 1:24, with his 1:23.68 run at this same meet last year. They seem to be the frontrunners in the field, but the seeds so close, this all-out sprint will come down to the line.
