SummaryArlington has won the last three S1-A titles and again will be favored as it has its usual Admiral depth. Suffern and North Rockland are coming off a big battle at Rockland County and are closer than usual to Arlington this year, so the action rates that hot pepper. Patrick Tuohy has picked up a lot of wins this year including the Rockland County title, while Colin Waters did the same for Arlington at Northern Counties. Waters and Tuohy were 10th and 12th last year behind a totally senior group of leaders.

Summary: Last year was a battle of two teams, with Somers taking the title over Pearl River by 63-73. Six teams have at least a faint hope of taking the 2017 S1-B crown, but Pearl River appears to have the most depth along with the highest ratings following a win at Rockland County. But John Jay CR has a lot of momentum going for it after a win at Westchester County, and Tappan Zee is also very close behind. The Pirates' Matt Politis won last year's race, and he and Matt and Greg Fusco of Somers and Ryan Guerci of Nanuet should all be battling to the wire this year.

Summary:  The last two winners of the S1-C title seemed to be headed for a showdown at Sectionals, but both Pleasantville and Irvington have had some question marks about health and depth. Reigning champ Irvington finished behind both Pleasantville and Dobbs Ferry at Westchester County, but if everyone is back for them they could be looking to repeat their 16 point win over the Panthers last year. Luke Carmosino and Matt Rizzo had a good battle at Westchester, and they will likely be going at it again in the S1-C race.

Summary: Haldane is always favored in S1-D, but a lack of depth for the Blue Devils may give Keio a chance here. Adam Silhavy finished 2nd behind Nick Farrell last year, and the two of them will again be favored to go 1-2 in S1-D.
