Girls Varsity 2
Individual: Aziza Chigatayeva (Brooklyn Tech) breezed through the hilly course today as she placed a 13-second cushion between her and Jenna Zydanowicz (William Hall) to come away with a victory. Chigatayeva was a little disappointed that she missed breaking the 19-minute barrier by less than a second, but looks forward to competition to push her further into the season. Alexa Westley (Warren Hills) capped off the top 3 in the last Varsity Girls race of the day.
Team: James Madison left everyone in the dust to win by 40 points over the second place team of Kingsway. The field was pretty dispersed, but with James Madison being the only team to have 3 of their runners finish in the top 20, there was no doubt who was going home with the title.
