Erin Cawley, a senior at Newark Valley High School, has chosen Syracuse University to further her academic and athletic career.
As a Footlocker finalist, the 2008 NYS Class C Cross-Country champion, and the 2008 Small School NYS 2000m Steeplechase champion (with a time of 6:53.19), Erin is really excited to join one of the top teams in the East and hopes to contribute as they work towards becoming one of the top programs in the country.
Although Erin is not the first athlete from Newark Valley to sign a NCAA Division I National Letter of Intent, she is the most heavily recruited athlete in her school's history.
