2016 Boys' New York State Meet Preview

Boys Class B - Teams

Breakdown: Of all the team races, this one seems to be the most solidified.  Burnt Hills has taken a very young team, and molded them into a State Power.  We saw them emerge at McQuaid, and have made improvements ever since.  The season hasn't been all roses however, as early front runner Tyler Berg has been on the recovery trail in the later part of the season.  Even still, with all things going right at once, the team finds themselves in very strong consideration for a top three spot in the overall merge.

It doesn't mean the race is over, as several teams could provide a challenge.  Pittsford-Mendon was a surprise winner out of a loaded Section 5, and that kind of challenge can motivate improvement.  East Aurora is always strong, and could see a leap as well.  Somers has one of the strong 1-2 punches, and that could propel them forward on the right day.
