Boys Class D - Teams
Breakdown: Here is where things get really interesting in Class D. Maple Grove had a ten-point speed rating jump per person at their Sectional Meet. If they can repeat that the week after, they're set on their run for a state title. However, their season average paints a much different picture. All of a sudden, reigning State Champs Lake Placid come back in to the picture, after being a fringe team for much of the early season. All things considered the two teams are in a dead heat for the title. Sauquoit Valley is close behind, and mild improvements puts them right in the mix as well.
And then there is Elmira-Notre Dame, the home course team. They've been ranked the top in Class D for much of the season, but has seen some other teams creep closer to them. They've been running without their third man, Nico Tripeny, who will be a key factor in determining the projections. With him back in, E-ND is back in the discussion for a title. Without, than the road becomes that much harder.
