NY season officially opens up

Niskayuna XC Ekiden - Burnt Hills girls sweep girls titles. Colonie boys take varsity title. Fastest splits go to Ballston Spa's Max Groves and Colonie's Jessica Sherry.

Rob Breen Invitational - Joseph Brancale (MSIT) wins boys title in 16:36 and Farrell wins team title. Shanique Dasilva takes girls race in 22:19 though MSIT edges St. John Villa by 2 for the crown.

South Jefferson Invitational - Canton's Matt Pierce wins in 18:04 as Pulaski boys take team title. Jillian Busby wins title with the Canton girls winning the team title over Pulaski by 2 points.
Wizard Invitational - Martin Hehir of Washingtonville wins boys A race in 16:21 while Colin Siedl takes the B race in 15:59. Washingtonville and Kellenberg win team crowns. For the girls, Washingtonville and Cornwall win titles. Ciara McKallen of Washingtonville and Aisling Cuffe of Cornwall win individual titles.
Central Square Invitational -Chris Buchanan leads CNS to team title with win while Taylor Wendler does the same for the girls.
JFK Invitational - East Aurora sweeps boys and girls titles.
NY-PA Windsor Invitational - Max Straneva of Chenango Valley wins in 16:34 as Windsor wins the team crown. Corning girls take title as Katie Rossettie wins in 19:23.

V-V-S Invitational - 
Left: Chris Stogsdill (Marcellus - green)) ran 16:31 to win the White race.  Steve Houghmaster (West Genesee) finished 3rd.
