| The Indians lost two of the top 5 from last year's 3rd-place States team, so there are holes to fill. States medalist Dylan Canarelli returns to lead the team in the effort to hold off Tully and Beaver River in the S3-C, and with a decent pack behind Canarelli, Sauquoit Valley should be able to develop the depth it needs to shoot for the state championship it last won in 2004 at the end of a three-year run of titles. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

| The Raiders lost by a lot to Maple Grove at sectionals last year, but with six of the varsity returning this year, they enter the season pretty even with the depleted Red Dragons.
