This Year's Outlook
Watkins Glen finished 2nd at States to East Aurora, and now with the Blue Devils up in Class B and a full cast coming back from last  year, the Senecas look well set up in a bid for their first state championship. A senior quartet including States medalist Patrick Hazlitt, Shaun Rutledge, Sam Hanley and Jacob Carocci has freshman Gabe Planty moving up for a bigger role. With a deep squad and the veteran experience, Watkins Glen should be one of the top 2 powers in Class C this year.

This Year's Outlook
Mount Academy fell back to 3rd at States last year after two championships and then a 2nd in 2014. This year Mount again has its usual deep squad and though missing the top two from last year, it should be battling with Watkins Glen at Chenango Valley for its first Class C championship. Seniors Kent Kurtz, Daryl Blough, Brendan Baird, Bernard King, and Justin Compy return with States experience, and the addition of Judah Ben Eliezer gives the Eagles a great base from which to push the speed ratings a little higher to those likely needed to win at States.

This Year's Outlook
Marcellus took the title in S3-C after moving down from Class B, and the Mustangs will again have a sizeable lead as the favorite entering into the season despite the loss of frontrunner Patrick McGuane. Everyone else is back, and though Ethan Mosure had the top place among the returners at sectionals and States, Joseph Riccardi, Michael Brown, and Matthew Strempel form a pack at around the same level.

PleasantvillePanthers

Section: 1Class: CColors: Green and white

Pleasantville senior Aidan McDermott paced himself well to pick up an 8th place medal at States last year for the 4th place Panthers.

This Year's Outlook
Pleasantville.won its third straight sectional title in 2015 but fell a little further back at States and then lost its top guys Aidan MvDermott and Drew Dorflinger to graduation. Although a solid group is back this season headed by JC Yahia and Declan McDermott, the Panthers are starting to see some depth issues and will be in a tough battle in S1-C if there are no influx of new guys to fill the line.

BronxvilleBroncos

Bronxville's Matt Rizzo out-sprinted Pawling's Kevin Whitworth for what would be the final at-large spot for States.

This Year's Outlook
The Broncos ran 13 points behind Pleasantville at sectionals as they tried to win their first title since 2003, and this year they look to be pretty much dead even with the Panthers entering the season. But after losing frontrunner Sean Ryan and two other of last year's seniors, Bronxville has some work to do building up the depth behind the new lead guys, twins Matt and Alex Rizzo.
