for the season ahead
**************************************************************************
Coach V,
My parents are not letting me do cross country, indoor, and outdoor. They said I can only do two seasons. So I'm choosing indoor so I can prepare for outdoor. I apologize and I will be there when indoor starts.

Please excuse Ronnie from practice yesterday. He was not feeling well and vomiting after a trip to the fair.
Thank you

Coach,
Thank you for the nice e-mail. I really have been thinking about quitting for a while now. I liked the whole team experience, but I don't like to run that much…..

Monday
Hi, Coach Vermeulen,
Sam came home on the bus today. He said he knows about his poor attendance
becoming a problem and he has chosen not to continue with cross country. I was
really hoping it would work out for him since he needs a social activity and
likes to run. He is supposed to be seeking out another after school club
(I see the math league meets tomorrow).
He has always struggled a little bit socially so I do hope he finds something
he enjoys.
Thank you again for your patience and I'm sorry James isn't sticking with cross
country. Good luck with your season and thanks for all of your help.
[Mrs. Smith]

Hi Mr. Vermeulen,
I don't like running cross country and I don't want to continue anymore. I just wanted to let you know that, though I hope you won't think of me as a quitter.
-Sandy
Hi Coach,
I'm sorry about the last email. Could you ignore it for me? I decided I don't want to quit cross country. However, I'm sorry for missing practice today.
-Sandy

RACE ANALYSIS
Name: Kenny
Race Strengths: I had a plan and I tried to execute it
Race Weaknesses: I made a really bad decision before the race. My sock was slipping down my leg so I decided to put a rubber band around it to hold it up. When I started to go up tunnel hill, I noticed it get tighter. From that point, I proceeded to lose the circulation in my left leg. At the end of the race, I wasn't too tired because I was having trouble moving my leg. I am pretty certain that if at all, I only went into the anaerobic stage on the finish stretch. I still feel that I would have done significantly better without that rubber band. My plan had been to stay with Connor unless I felt better and could pass him. After going up tunnel hill, my race, mentally, was ruined. I could not stop thinking about the rubber band. I know you have said that we need to think about our races to progress, but I would really just like to forget about this stupid mistake.
Changes to Drive Improvements: Not wear a rubber band.
