1-2. The Miles
Who: Matt Bouthillette, DJ Principe, Jack Salisbury, Dalton Hengst (boys), Diana Vizza, Eliza Rego, Sammy Watson (girls)
When: both races Saturday; 12:55 PM (girls), 1:05 PM (boys)
Why: In the boys race, Bouthillette, Principe, and Salisbury of La Salle Academy are probably the best trio of teammates in the country. Salisbury won the New Balance Indoor Grand Prix mile in 4:08, and Bouthillette and Principe will be looking to join him in the sub-4:10 club.
Vizza and Rego both had somewhat under the radar excellent indoor seasons. Vizza was third in the Millrose mile and fourth in the New Balance Nationals Indoor two mile, and Rego anchored La Salle to a national title in the 4x mile. But they'll both be underdogs against Watson, a 2:03/4:47y runner whose only loss this year by was a hundredth of a second to Stephanie Jenks in the NBIGP mile.
