State of the Action: Continuing well after much of the crowd had already left, some of the best competition of the day was still going on in the weight cage. Heading into the finals, less than a foot separated the top three athletes, with State Leader Colin Blair leading the field. He opened his finals with a foot improvement, which would be his final mark. But on Cameron Thompson's fifth throw, he let loose a bomb which would snatch the competition right there - 67-6. For good measure, Thompson put another out over 67-feet, but it wasn't needed, as he had already won. The competition proved strong between two powerful athletes. | |||||
