Unchallenged and undaunted this season, Nadonnia Rodriques dominated nearly every race she entered this season. The Boys & Girls senior was as imperious as any sprinter in New York history while she matured into one of the best scholastic quarter-milers of all-time. Rodriques decided the outcome of races before challengers could provide an opportunity to call a sprint a competition instead she transformed every race into a time trial, chasing a time that only she was capable of running.

Rodriques went undefeated at 300 meters, winning the PSAL championship in 38.39, the fastest time in the country. Then won the state 300-meter championship. She broke the New York State record in the 400 meters at the Pepsi Hall of Fame Classic, igniting the track with a 52.83-second performance, the fourth-fastest scholastic time in United States history. But the first time Rodriques showed that she was emotionally connected to her own success, followed her win at the National Scholastic Indoor Championships. She won in 52.85, when promptly signed a letter of intent to compete at the University of South Carolina next year.
