It seemed as if Virginia was made to sweep the event. On top of that, both genders share the same school. Ben Fogg waited a few laps before accelerating away from the crowd, pushing through the line for a new US #3.

An interesting matchup between two athletes moving up in distance. Isaiah Curbello is more an 800m specialist more than anything else, while Nick Velez is one of the State Leaders in the 1000m. Both athletes waited until the lap counter was closing down on the bell lap before turning the race into an all out sprint. Curbello held off Velez, who had done much of the pace setting early, to grab the win, and a personal best by three seconds.

An incredible way to kick off the meet, as Aidan Tooker proves he is the distance runner to beat Indoors. While he was a top seed in XC, Tooker has dominated the scene early by pushing out a 4:09 mile in December, then following up with his winning mark of 8:54.22 here. Aidan Tooker now becomes the only athlete ever in NY history to break 9mins twice Indoors.
