New York College Runners Go Big at 2015 Nationals

Summary:  Two NY runners helped 4th-ranked Providence earn a 4th place at the national championship as Lauren Mullins placed 62nd and Katie Lembo was 101st. The top NY finisher was 12th-place Syracuse's Shaylyn Tuite at 55th, and she was joined by teammate Cassia Hameline who took 141st. The top NY finisher at any of the Regionals did not get to run as Princeton captain Emily De La Bruyere was attending her interview for a Rhodes scholarship, but there were still 8 NY women running at D1 Nationals in Louisville as Aisling Cuffe of Stanford switched in for the Cardinal and placed 117th for her 14th-place squad. Christina Melian was 143rd as an at-large runner from Stony Brook, Bella Burda was 175th for 30th-place Villanova, and Heather Martin was 212th for 20th-place Georgetown

The Providence Friars celebrated a 4th place finish at Nationals with Lauren Mullins and Katie Lembo to the right of the trophy, and Syracuse's Shaylyn Tuite was the top NY runner.
