State of the Action: Alittle bit of a flashback for Aidan Tooker.  As predicted, the race turned into a duel between himself and Noah Affolder.  Several runners made strong efforts to push the pace through the opening mile, notably Eion Nohilly, Conor Lundy, and Dan Schaffer, but once they were out of the backhills, it was all Tooker and Affolder.  The pair exchanged surges as they approached the 2-mile mark, but Tooker continued to apply pressure to the pace.  Experience on the course helped the senior, who has ran here, and qualified for NXN the past three years.  Throwing the right surges on the downhill, Tooker managed to open up a gap on the soccer fields.  From there, it was all about getting the time.  He crosses the line as the 10th fastest athlete ever at Bowdoin, with the eleventh fastest time.  For Affolder, he had another worry.  Lundy had been making his way up to the duo up front the entire second half.  With only the final straight separated them from the finish, he surged towards Affolder.  Affolder recognized the threat, and managed to just hold him off.
