Thomas Edison junior twin brothers Leoule and Tihut Degfae as well as Osbourn Park sophomore Ariel Karabinus will be competing in the elite high school mile races this weekend at the New Balance Games held at the Armory in New York City. All three recently competed in the Montgomery Invite mile, where Karabinus was the top Virginian finisher with a third place run of 5:11 and the Degfae's ran personal best times of 4:22 in the mile with Tihut in sixth and Leoule in seventh. They will be facing some stiff competition at the Armory with several sub 5 milers in the girls' race and a handful of sub 4:20 milers in the boys' field.
