After winning the High Jump, junior Mike Palmer knew he was in a good position. However, when closest competitor Drew Alfano won the Long Jump, his goal had been set. Stay as close as possible to Alfano in the 1500m, and you are set. So he went out in the final race on a mission, and held on to the lead. powering through the exhaustion of five events, Palmer pushed to the line, finishing in 4:39.01, just enough to keep his lead, and grab the win. Jordan Rowland, Mr. Basketball in the Syracuse Area, comes out to track, to win himself a D2 State Title as well.
