A
bad lane draw, and colder temperatures can be attributed to a slower
finish for Newburgh. Their mark from NY Relays the week before would
have put them at #5 overall in the trials. But its a long season ahead,
and we expect big things to come.
With
the return of Josh Dacres, Lakeland/Panas takes home the fastest time
of the day for New York. They challenged the 4:20 barrier early, and
will be a force for the rest of the season.
Cullen Malzo (51.88), Josh Dacres (48.11), Jason Bingay (51.96), Veeral Shah (49.84)
With
a move of Jimmy Asselmeyer from second leg to fourth, Arlington had a
lot of work to do by the final exchange. They would finish in 6th
overal in the finals, new state leader.
Joe Morrison (1:59.07), Reece Ragusa (1:59.56), Eric Sbrollini (1:58.95), James Asselmeyer (1:51.68)
In what would be a tactical race, Fordham Prep came away with a fourth place finsh. Both the first leg and the final saw a sit and kick technique employed, which led to Conor Lundy grabbing the fastest anchor leg of the day.
