Norwood Invitational - Norwood-Norfolk HS - FULL RESULTS

In a meet that is a preview of the NYSPHSAA Championships, Zach Rivers of Victor won the large schools race while Webster Thomas took the team title. The Queensbury boys once again dominated a race, winning the varsity II race with 31 points behind Matt Flint's 16:32 winning effort. Lee Berube of Ticonderoga won the varsity III race in 16:21 and the Tully boys took the team title with 34 points.

 

For the girls, Shelby Greany of Suffern ran 18:49.4 to win the Varsity I race and the team title went to West Seneca West. The Varsity II race saw 8th grader Carly Wynn run 18:55 for the win and lead Queensbury to a win with 28 points. The Queensbury girls swept the top three places with 2 freshman and an 8th grader. Mary Kate Champagne of Seton Catholic won the Varsity III race in 18:42, the fastest time of the day. Norwood-Norfolk won the team title over Pulaski 54-59 for the closest team race of the day.

East Aurora Invitational - East Aurora, NY
Host wins boys and girls team titles. Jordan Roose (Brockport) pulls out close win over Scott Anderson (East Aurora) and Nick Pardee (Newfane). Cathy Lusardi wins girls title in 17:32.

Francis Lewis Invitational - Cunningham Park, Queens, NY
Christopher Guerrero (Townsend Harris) wins boys arce in 17:29 while Stephany Fana (Newtown) takes girls title in 21:44.

Red Raider Run - Anthony Wayne State Park
TWO COLIN ANDERSON"S WIN. Colin Anderson from Northport and Colin Anderson from Cornwall win two boys races. North Rockland girls win Varsity I race as Elizabeth O'Donnell (Monroe-Woodbury) takes title. Kristal Conklin (Valley Central) wins varrsity 2 race and Cornwall the team crown.

Wildcat Invitational - Marcus Whitman HS
Rush Henrietta over McQuaid 58-62 in boys DI, HFL over Wayne in DII, Leroy over Odyssey in DIII, and Oakfield/Alb, Geneseo, and Pavilion all score 78 points in DIV. As for the girls, Corning take DI, HFL DII, and Geneseo DIII.

Manchester Invitational - Manchester, NH
Burnt Hills boys get 3rd place in Nike Elite race while the Burnt Hills girls win the Nike Elite Race.

Edgewater Invitational - Orlando, FL
Warwick Valley boys roll to easy win and very fast times.

Pepperdine Invitational - Malibu, CA
Warwick Valley girls perform well out west

With the temperature heading towards 85 degrees and Yom Yippur limiting attendance at many meets, it will be an interesting weekend around NY State.

Bowdoin Park Classic - Wappinger Falls, NY

The 1st Annual Bowdoin Park Classic was basically started to help NTN potential teams get a race in on the NTN NE qualifier course. It is also the course where the NYS Federation Championships have been held since the late 1980's. Two Connectict teams, two Mass teams, and 6 New Jersey teams will join a host of NY teams on the classic, semi out and back course, that rises uphill most of the first half and crashes back down for most of the 2nd half.
