State of the Action: This was set to be a race for the record books.  Both girls headed into the last 75m on National Record pace.  Side-by-side they went, banking themselves on the turn.  Amanda Crawford on the inside, forced towards the bar by Emma Gallagher, took a tumble.  It slowed Gallagher down, still managing a 1:32, before a DQ was handed down for impedement.  Crawford will return for another shot at the event next week, but unfortunately, it may have been the last time Gallagher would have an empty schedule for another record attempt.  Then again, there is always Cornell.
