| 12/27 | Lafayette College  Indoor Week 3 Christmas City The Christmas holiday break period is over and the
action packed Christmas City Relays at Lehigh University kicked off the
vacation period for a number of PA teams. Ending the 2014 calendar year on the highest of notes
was Pennridge senior Taylor Chapman. She started the season as the state leader
in the 200 and 300 meter dashes, and on Saturday, she ran her first 60 meter
dash of the year and looked sharp. She became the new state leader in the
prelims with a time of 7.73. In the finals, she had to hold off the challenge
of Jaylyne Aminu of Liberty to earn the win. Her time of 7.67 ranks as US#3 for
the season, while Aminu’s 7.68 shares the US#4 position!
The other star of the afternoon was Stroudsburg’s Aspen
Gaita. The senior improved on her state lead in the long jump, becoming the
first PA female to break 18 feet (18-4.50). Runner up Katy Alberici of
Susquehanna finished one inch behind her. Both marks rank in the US top 10.
Later, Gaita nearly made it two PA#1 marks, winning the 60 meter hurdles in
8.88, just .02 seconds off Ciara Leonard’s state leading time from the opening
night of the season. Meanwhile, Alberici would finish the day with a state
leading mark, winning the triple jump with a distance of 37-3.75.
Cocalico’s Emily Stauffer. The junior won the shot put by nearly 10 full feet, throwing 42-3 to earn her 2nd win in a row.
The
4x200 meter relay went to Susquehanna Township, who ran a PA#2 1:47.17 to hold
off PA#3 Norristown by .8 seconds. The star of the boys competition was indoor state pole
vault runner up Ryan Wilkes of Valley View. The senior entered the day sharing
the state lead with rival and state champion Chris Stone of Springfield Montco.
When the day was over, Wilkes was over 18 inches better than the previous state
lead, clearing 15-6.75 to finish 2nd on misses. The mark betters any
mark in the state of PA for all of the 2013-14 indoor season!
Andrew Dillon of Norristown was the other male athlete
to earn a state leading mark, becoming the first sub 23 second 200 meter runner
in the state with his 3rd place time of 22.98. Pennridge boys had a
big day in the relays, earning four medals out of five relay events,
highlighted by victory in the 4x800 meter relay in 8:31.04. Khai Samuels of
Pleasant Valley ran 2:02.8 to finish 2nd in the 800 meter run. Tyler
Hoag of Manheim Township threw 50-5.50 to win the shot put. Girls Highlights

PREVIEW Lehigh University’ Rausch Fieldhouse will be jam packed
as teams for Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware will be looking for some
big performances as 2015 approaches! The girls field events will have some superstar talent
on display. The shot put will feature the 2013 PTFCA Indoor State champion Emily
Stauffer of Cocalico. After missing a big chunk of the 2014 season due to
surgery on her throwing arm, Stauffer showed the state that she’s back and
better than ever this past Friday night with a lifetime best and US#2 45-11.50
victory at the Kutztown Maroon and Black Invitational. That performance has put
her in position to reclaim the top spot from reigning champion Courtney
McCartney from Selinsgrove. What will Stauffer do for an encore to last week’s
performance? The long jump will have 2014 indoor state bronze medalist
Ariana Przybylowski of Pennridge and Aspen Gaits of Stroudsburg. Prsybylowski
has moved up the ladder in the long jump in each of the past two seasons, and
this season could be the year she reaches the top. She jumped 17 feet even on
the opening weekend of the season, the best start of her career. Aspen Gaita was the 2014 District 11 outstanding hurdler
and jumper, and she has taken that form into the current season. Last Friday,
Gaita won the long jump at the Kutztown Maroon and Gold Invitational with an
indoor best 17-10.50, the best mark in the state thus far. Who will win the
first of what could be several head to head matchups this winter? Taylor Chapman of Pennridge will be the headliner in the
60 meter dash. The senior has come close to winning state gold, and this year
will be her last opportunity. She has started the season off very well,
boasting the state’s top performance in both the 200 and 300 meter dashes. Can
she make it 3 PA#1 marks with a win in the 60 meter dash? The boys meet will feature the return of Colin Abert of
Easton in the mile. Abert’s MVP type season ended with state and Foot Locker
Regional disappointment, but that does not take away from the breath taking
performances he displayed before that. He finished the cross country season
with the top time in the state (14:55) and he set two meet records and one
course record along the way. Abert missed the 2014 indoor state meet. Saturday
will be the first step towards returning to the indoor big show. 2014 indoor state silver medalist and 2014 AAA outdoor
state champion Ryan Wilkes of Valley View will be competing in the pole vault
on Saturday. Wilkes will be in a season long dual with indoor and AA outdoor state
champion Chris Stone of Springfield Montco. So far, both athletes have cleared
14 feet in their first competitions of the season. Can Wilkes give himself the

| 12/29 | The Armory Sam Ritz of Germantown Academy and John Lewis of
Cheltenham put on a show for the crowd at the New York Armory in the
Invitational 800 meter run. Lewis paced the race in 55 seconds with Ritz not
too far behind. On the final lap, Ritz made his move, and on the final stretch,
got ahead of Lewis and managed to hold on for the win in a national leading
time of 1:52.81! He has run 3 US#1 times in the first four weeks of the
December! Lewis finished 2nd in a US#2 1:52.88, a huge indoor personal best,
which was 1:55 prior to today!
Taylor Chapman of Pennridge is now top of the US in the 200 meter dash, running 24.73 to win the 200 after a 24.86 prelim round!
Christian Brissett of Cheltenham ran 21.88 for 2nd place and US#2 honors in the boys 200!
Brooklynn Broadwater of Springside Chestnut Hill was a winner on the day on the track, winning the 300 meter dash in a US#5
39.66. Teammate Alexandra Kitchell ran 40.94 to finish 2nd. Cheltenham girls
move to the top of the state in the 4x200 meter relay with a 3rd place finish
in 1:43.08, good for US#7. Ciara Leonard ran 8.19 in the 55 meter hurdle
prelims on her way to a 3rd place 8.27 performance in the finals. Her 8.19 puts
her in a tie for the US#6 position. Madison Langley-Walker of Cheltenham won
the long jump with a PA#5 17-7. North Penn ran 1:46.73 to move up to PA#2 in
their 4x200 meter relay prelim heat. They also ran 13:05.90 to win the varsity
distance medley relay. Terri Turner of Springside Chestnut Hill ran a state leading 2:16.80 to finish 4th in the invitational 800. Karli Visconto of Nazareth Academy ran 2:18.36 to finish
5th, keeping her at PA#3. For the boys, Charles Snorweah of Pennsbury ran 6.59 to
finish 2nd in the 55 meter dash, good for a share of the PA#3 position. His
teammate Kornelius Klah finished 7th in the 55 meter hurdles in 7.87. Penn Wood
ran 1:34.72 in their prelim heat of the 4x200 meter relay to move up to PA#4. Jimmy
Holt of Downingtown West jumped 21-8 to finish 3rd in the long jump. Girls Highlights

PREVIEW Invitational event acceptances have been released for
Monday’s meet and a select group of PA athletes have been included. Brooklynn Broadwater and Alexandria Kitchell of
Springside will be competing in the 300 meter dash invitational. Broadwater is
coming off a runner up finish in the 600 meter run at last Saturday’s Bishop
Loughlin meet, while Kitchell is coming off a 12th place finish in
the 300 meter dash. Broadwater is PA’s defending 400 meter indoor state
champion and she sits on top of the current 400 meter state list. Teammate Terri Turner will be competing in the
Invitational 800 meter run. The 2014 Independent School State Cross Country champion
is coming off of a narrow victory in the mile at the Hill School Invitational
and a win in the 800 meter run on the opening weekend of the season. She will
be looking to chase down the state lead of 2:17.89 held by Maddie Villalba of
Central Bucks West. Agnes Mansaray of Penn Wood will be running her 1st
career 800 meter race. She is coming off a 13th place finish in the
1000 meter run last week at Bishop Loughlin. North Penn girls will compete in the distance medley
relay. The Lady Knights currently sit 4th in the state at 12:53.65
from the opening weekend. Strath Haven will also be joining them in the race,
as they look to put out a strong performance in a distance relay that has had
some great success at this track, most notably, setting the previous state
record in the 4x800 meter relay back in 2011. The headline event for PA boys in the Invitational races
will be the 800 meter run. Reigning 400 meter indoor state champion John Lewis
of Cheltenham will toe the line for this one. This will only be his 5th
career indoor 800 meter race. His last indoor 800 ended in a runner up finish
of 1:55.49 at the 2014 TFCAofGP Meet of Champions. His lifetime best is 1:50.01

| 12/30 |  The annual curtain call to the calendar running season
took place on Tuesday and it was one of the biggest Burdette Invitationals in
recent memory. Not a seat was empty at Lehigh University, and the fans who
turned out were treated to some great performances. The boys competition produced five state leading
performances, led by the 4x400 meter relay champions Cheltenham, who showed
that were still the team to beat. The Panthers ran a US#4 3:26.21 to defeat
their rivals Penn Wood and Pennsbury. High Jump champion Chris Stone of
Springfield Montco earned the state lead in the event with a clearance of 6-6,
four inches better than anyone in the state this season. His pole vault rival
Ryan Wilkes of Valley View made it 3 wins from 3 meets, clearing 15 feet even
to win today. We had two state leaders in the straightaway events, as Charles
Bowman Jr of Central Dauphin East won the 60 meter hurdles in 8.14, good for
US#3. Osiris Nicholson of Church Farm won the 60 meter dash in a state leading
7.04. He brought his teammates along the way to win the 4x200 meter relay in
1:34.09. Andrew Dillon of Norristown lost his 200 meter state lead on Monday,
but gained the state lead in the 400 today with a winning time of 51.01. The boys individual distance events were electric,
starting with Paul Power of Spring Ford cruising to the win in the mile in
4:27.49, good for PA#2. Alek Sauer of Pennsbury won the 800 meter run in a PA#3
and US#3 1:56.59, giving PA the top three 800 meter performances in the entire
country! Colin Abert of Easton came close to taking Power's state lead in the
3000 meter run, winning in 8:55.89 to earn PA#2 and US#5 honors. For the girl, Mady Clahane of Cumberland Valley made her
indoor season debut in a big way, cruising to victory in the mile with a meet
record performance of 5:05.89, taking a record that was dated all the back to
1998. Christina Johnson of Susquehanna Township ran 7.91 to win the 60 meter
dash, and she also led her team to victory in the 4x200 meter relay out of the
2nd heat in a PA#2 1:46.11 to nab the win from Norristown. Neumann Goretti ran
4:08.79 to win the 4x400 meter relay and earn PA#4 honors. Moira O'Malley of
Souderton tied a meet record in the high jump with a PA#2 clearance of 5-6.
Central Bucks East swept the distance relays, running 12:54.79 to win the
distance medley, and 10:05.73 to win the 4x800 meter relay. Girls Highlights

| 01/02 | Friday night's DVGTCA meet featured Ciara Leonard winning
her rematch with Markeeta Thomas of Paul Robeson, taking two tenths of a second
off her season best with a national leading time of 8.66!
The meet also featured the return of her teammate,
sophomore sprinter Chanel Brissett, who missed the entire month of December due
to an ankle problem. She made her season debut in the 60 meter dash, an event
which saw her win silver at states a year ago. Her performance was a success,
as she put two tenths of a second on the field, running a PA#3 7.82 for the
win. Her teammate Maddie Villalba of Central Bucks West was victorious in the
mile with a PA#3 5:15.66 to edge out Karli Visconto of Nazareth Academy (PA#4
5:16.05). North Penn ran 1:47.67 to win the 4x200 meter relay. Ariana
Przybylowski of Pennridge finished 2nd in the long jump with a PA#3 18-0.25.
Shannon Taub of Council Rock South took home gold medals in the triple jump
(PA#5 35-9.75) and the high jump (5-4). Girls Highlights

PA#3 3:29.28. Bensalem (PA#3 8:18.78) edged out St Joe's Prep (PA#4 8:19.57) to
win the 4x800 meter relay. Downingtown West ran a PA#3 10:57.14 to win the
distance medley relay. Dylan Eddinger of Boyertown ran a PA#6 1:59.78 to win
the 800 meter run. In division 2, Twin Valley ran a PA#2 10:53.55 to win
the distance medley relay, just .02 seconds off the state lead. Radnor ran
3:34.24 to win the 4x400 meter relay. Jahmair Craig of Delaware Valley Charter
