Bronx, NY - A week before the largest Cross Country Invitational on the East Coast, the NYC Mayor's Cup took place on the famed hills of Van Cortlandt Park. Some impressive performances were produced, so check them out below.

On the boys individual side of the compeition, Marco Pompilj of Collegiate battle John Rice of Xavier at the front of the pack. Each athlete holds significant cred on the cross country courses, so the pair quickly turned the race into an all out duel. Pushing eachother, the pair broke into the Top 100 All-Time Performances for Van Cortlandt Park, with Pompilj at 26th, and Rice at 37th.

On the girls side of the competition, it was Bishop Kearney's Lisa Farjado with an impressive lead over the field. With almost a thirty second gap on the field, Farjado looked impressive.
