A number of the best high school athletes in America will take part in the 107th NYRR Millrose Games, set for Saturday, February 15, at The New Balance Track & Field Center at The Armory. A complete list of invited high school athletes can be found below.
Among the most highly anticipated events at the NYRR Millrose Games will be the Boys and Girls New Balance High School Mile and the Junior Girls Pole Vault.
Leading the Boys New Balance High School Mile is Luke Gavigan, a junior at Tappan Zee High School. Gavigan is among five boys entered who have run under 4:20 for the mile this year, including Mike Brannigan (Northport, NY) and Sean Kelly (Chaminade, NY).
Elk County Catholic (PA) senior Kennedy Weisner timed 4:55.37 to win the NYRR Millrose Games Trials on January 15. She is one of seven girls to have broken five minutes for the mile in the invitational field. Among those also invited are northeast standouts Bella Burda (Arlington, NY), Laura Leff (West Genesee, NY), Maddy Berkson (Classical, RI), and Foot Locker Cross Country National Champion Tessa Barrett (Abington Heights, PA).
Ten of the nation's best high school girls pole vaulters will come together at the NYRR Millrose Games for a chance to make history. Each will aim to break Annie Rhodes's Armory High School record of 13 feet, 8.5 inches.
Desiree Freier, the Texas state record holder who has cleared 13 feet, 9 inches and placed eighth at the IAAF World Youth Championships, will return to New York after finishing third at New Balance Nationals Indoor in 2013.
Joining Freier from the Texas Pole Vault Club will be Zoe McKinley, a junior at Grapevine High School. McKinley was the best sophomore vaulter in America last year, clearing 13 feet, 3.5 inches outdoors.
Greta Wagner and Alexis Romer, both co-winners of the 2014 National Pole Vault Summit in Nevada, are set to compete. Wagner was runner-up at last year's California State Championships, and will attend UCLA in the fall. Romero is the Nevada State Champion and represents Raise the Bar Pole Vault Club.

Coaches of invited athletes and relay teams need to accept their invitation by Friday, January 31, by emailing Tim Fulton (tim@armorytrack.com). You will receive a password to then enter the meet on DirectAthletics.com - which must be done by February 1st at midnight.
