Breakdown

There seems to have been a flip-flop in 2013.  Whereas the girls have been the standouts in NY for years past, the boys seem to have been breaking out this year like never before.  Four individuals over 190 look to battle for the individual title.  Burke and Brannigan look like the safe bets, but it is impossible to count out FM.

Team Champs

You want depth?  The top four ranked teams in the state this year all could have very well won the state meet last year.  Three of the those teams will face off, with FM having the edge with a crazy top three.

7 Justin Van Epps 12 02-B CBA-Albany 178

Breakdown
I can't decide which individual race is more exciting; Boys Class A or Class B?  The top three include an NXN-Qualifier, the #2 All-Time on the course, and a 9-flat two-miler.  Udvadia beat Cook at Manhattan, but Cook beat Hornberger here in September.  This race could go any way, and should be one to watch.

Team Champs

A very dense team competition will give everything to the fifth man.  Every point counts, and if the fifth man falls off, there are three teams ready to overtake.  Pittsford-Mendon enters the favorite, but only just.

Breakdown

Flannery is the favorite coming into the race, but will have a few on his tail. Gadway has had a clear season up in Section 7, and may have been saving it for the race.  Barber looked strong at his sectional qualifier, and could challenge for the lead as well.

Team Champs

Was the outcome of this race decided back at the Section 3 qualifer (not unlike Class A)?  We will find out on Saturday, as Holland Patent comes in as the top rated team after being seeded third in their qualifer.  Talk about depth.

Breakdown

Corey Wefing has both been consistent, and dominant this past XC season.  Competing in both the large school and small school races, Wefing has gone almost undefeated this season, only taking second behind NXN-Qualifier TJ Hornberger.  Spezio looks like the top challenger, but is still coming back from an early season injury.

Team Champs

The defending champs look to be the favorite again, but the return of Greenwich's Spezio puts a barricade in their clear view of the finish line.  Barker also has incredible depth for Class D, and could take away points from either squad.
