About Our Team
The Pawling cross country team was re-instated after twenty years of dormancy in the fall of 2000 by veteran Pennsylvanian coach Jack Power who came to Pawling to teach the year before. In the past decade the Tigers have won 6 league chammpionships, 4 section chammpionships, and finished 2nd at the State Championshps twice. Two Pawling runners, Colby DelBene and Brandon Freyer, have been crowned individual champions and the Tigers have had 9 State medalists. The Tigers have won 11 consecutive league championships, 4 consecutive Section I championships, and in 2012 won the Class C State Championship. At the end of the 2012 season XC Nation ranked the Tigers as #22 in the Nation for schools under 500 enrollment.
The Track team was also re-instated in the spring of 2001 and like the cross country program has had several league championships and 4 Section I championships in the first 10 years of the program. The Tigers have had numerous state medalists in the distance and mid-distances.
Now in their second decade the Tigers continue to have a very competitive team dispite having no track facility on which to practice.
